I am not the blank-slate therapist who will leave you questioning if you were heard. I engage. I respond. I connect.

Compassionate therapy, lifelong changes

You are welcome to shed your masks and explore the depths of your being, safe in the knowledge that you are held and supported

I work hand in hand with my clients to uncover the root causes of their challenges and develop tailored strategies for growth and change.

Outside the office, you can find me collecting pottery, going for leisurely walks with my two very spoiled dogs, and adding to my never-ending pile of to-be-read books.

My approach

Whether you are overcoming trauma, trying to move past people-pleasing, or discovering who you are, we will find the right combination of techniques for you.

My style is somatic in nature with a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care.

  • ACT focuses on developing mindfulness, defusing from painful thoughts and emotions without intellectualizing them, and committing to values-based action.

We wonโ€™t try to โ€œlogicโ€ your way out of your thoughts and emotions, but instead learn to notice and learn from them.

  • IFS delves into the different parts of ourselves and will guide us to a deeper understanding and appreciation for the complexities that make you unique.

  • Trauma lives in the body. Itโ€™s why, even when you logically know youโ€™re not in danger, you still feel unsafe. Somatic approaches help integrate information from our senses and our logicโ€”you will know and feel that youโ€™re safe.

We will not immediately focus on correcting and/or changing your thoughts and feelings, but rather explore, connect, and understand them.

    When appropriate, I utilize EMDR.

โ€œThe curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.โ€
